Join us this end of April Friday for a tasting that offers a little something special for everyone’s tastes. We’ll kick off with hosting Crane Brewing Co., another great hometown Kansas City beer maker who’s bringing these beers for you to sample:

SMALL BALL SAISON – This farmhouse-style ale offers earthy and herbal hop notes followed by a spicy bitterness and a touch of bretty funk.

APRICOT WEISS – Tart and juicy with a defined apricot presence; tangy, pulpy and smooth with wheat and yeast.

ORANGE GOSE – The refreshing taste packs a sour punch with the juicy orange flavor up front like a sour mimosa. Light-bodied with a malty background, a perfect beer to drink year-round.

Dubliner_LiqueurFor the liquors, our wonderful rep from Major Brands will be bringing this variety of adult beverages for you to try:

THE DUBLINER IRISH WHISKEY – a  blended Irish whiskey which has been aged in bourbon casks and crafted by Master Blender John Drennan. Smooth, with almost no burn, with enjoyable notes of golden malt shining through touches of honey and the bourbon cask’s vanilla and caramel to a mildly sweet whiskey finish.

THE DUBLINER IRISH WHISKEY LIQUEUR – using the base Dubliner Irish Whiskey, this adds in honeycomb liqueur to make a delicious treat for sweet-toothed whiskey fans as it offers a smooth caramel and honey flavor along with the whiskey. So tasty you could drink it for dessert (or on dessert).

IL TRAMONTO LIMONCELLO – this fantastic lemony liqueur offers intensely sweet and sherbet-like flavors on the palate that fade out to a more authentic lemon-peel finish. A must have for warm weather drink mixing.

Balletto roseAnd for the wines, our excellent rep from Trademark/Bronco Wines will be bringing these for you to taste:

BALLETTO ROSE – this rose of pinot noir from the Russian River earns a 93 score from the Wine Enthusiast as “this crisp, thirst-quenching wine is fruity, floral and highly inviting, focused in well-defined flavors of tangerine and lemon. finishing with a memorable tang.”

FILUS MALBEC – earning an 89 score from Wine Spectator, ““There’s a savory edge to the ripe and well-spiced dark plum and raspberry flavors” in this medium-bodied wine that finishes with a hint of sweet tannins.

FILUS TORRONTES – a truly refreshing white wine from Argentina with delicate hints of Jasmine and white flower meandering amongst flavours of mandarin and light-grapefruity citrus and apple, followed by a mellow spice and floral aftertaste.

PACIFIC OASIS RIESLING – this Columbia Valley, Washington wine offers flavors of apricot, green apple, honey and lemon with a semi-sweet finish that can be enjoyed with food (especially spicy ones) or by itself. A great warm weather patio wine!

SIX DEGREES PINOT NOIR – starts off with raspberry and strawberry fruit combining with nuances of vanilla, toffee, and cedar, followed by mellow tannins guiding the wine toward a smooth finish.
