FREE EVENT

Join us this week for a great variety of adult beverages for you to sample, including the full line-up of liquors from our new local distillery RESTLESS SPIRITS (located in the Crossroads area). Their production is small batch and hand-crafted for quality. Come in and “support local” by tasting their:

Builders Gin – a 92-proof gin crafted with 11 botanicals. Rosemary and juniper are in there, to give it that underpinning. The citrus and floral elements, the lavender, rose and meadowsweet, balance the combination.

Duffy’s Run Vodka – an all-corn, 90-proof  with a whisker of sweetness.

Sons of Erin Irish Whiskey – imported Irish Whiskey hand-selected from the private reserves of Teeling in Ireland. Aged 4 years, then re-finished with short-term aging in freshly emptied Breckenridge Bourbon barrels to give it a light, sweet smooth flavor.

Deschutes-Fresh_Squeezed_LabelFor the beers, we’ll be hosting long-time beer favorite DESCHUTES BREWERY who’ll be bringing these for you to taste:

Fresh Squeezed IPA – with a well-deserved 98 score on RateBeer, this mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of citra and mosaic hops.

Armory XPA – This Experimental Pale Ale gets its bitter twist from Nugget, and Northern Brewer hops, then delivers a pronounced citrus kick from Cascade, Centennial and Citra hops.

Hop Slice Session IPA – a crisp session IPA brewed with Meyer lemon, Hop Slice balances floral hop notes and a subtle citrus kick. Malt: Pale, Honey malt, C 60, Munich. Hops: Galaxy, Azacca, Amarillo.

Chainbreaker White IPABrewed with wheat and pilsner malt; this IPA displays beautiful citrus aromas from Cascade and Citra hops that meld with the esters of Belgian yeast. Think thirst quenching hopped-up wit beer with enough IBUs to warrant the IPA name.

And for the wines, we’re pulling out five tasty ones to help get you through the August:

Dashwood Sauvignon Blanc – a wonderful New Zealand Marlborough, tropical aromas dominate the bouquet of this pale gold Sauvignon Blanc. Grapefruit, guava, passionfruit and lemongrass flow across the palate in perfect harmony with a refreshing, crisp acidity.

Ironstone Obsession Symphony – captivating aromas of gardenia, honeysuckle and star jasmine.Flavors of this extremely enjoyable wine are tropical with peaches, pineapple, honeydew and a hint of ginger, finishing crisp and clean.

Planeta-Rose-Sicilia-IGT-2013Vinum Pinot Noir – elegant wine that’s very supple and generous with ripe cherries and cherry pie flavors with subtle vanilla and toasted oak texturing and flavors. The wine finishes complete with balanced acidity and extracted fruit notes highlighting cherries but also incorporating earthy notes

Planeta Rose – Made in Sicily with a blend that’s 50% Syrah / 50% Nero d’Avola (also known as Calabrese). This rose is silky smooth, slightly dry, with a blend of citrus flavors that remind of tangerines and light plums. Delicious and makes a great pairing with any summer-type food.

Chilensis Reserva Malbec – a Wine Enthusiast Best Buy, this Malbec from Chile (as opposed to Argentina) features a medium-bodied palate where flavors of herbal plum and berry fruits give way to sweet, resiny oak and mint on the finish.
