Join us this last Friday in February for a great line-up of adult beverages to get you looking forward to Springtime. We’ll be kicking off the proceedings with hometown favorite BOULEVARD BREWING as they taste out these great seasonal brews:

IRISH ALE – Their Midwestern tribute to the legendary red ales of old Ireland, the recipe combines six kinds of pale and roasted barley malts to provide a rich, toasty flavor and tawny reddish hue.

EARLY RISER – Born from friendship and a mutual love of beer and coffee, Early Riser features Colombian Cauca Cajibio Estate custom roasted and ground at Maps Coffee Roasters and showcases the chocolate, toffee, honey, and golden raisin notes imparted to the beer by the Colombian coffee.

TROPICAL PALE ALE – their well-balanced pale ale with the bright refreshing flavors of grapefruit and passion fruit accented by juicy, citrusy hops.

AMERICAN KOLSCH – featuring a base composed of European pilsner malt, pale malt and a touch of malted wheat showcasing herbal, citrusy notes from Saaz and Saphir hops,  this light and refreshing beer delivers a honey-like malt sweetness that gives way to a crisp, clean finish with a touch of lingering herbal/citrusy flavor.

Bulleit BourbonFor the liquors, our wonderful rep from Glazers will be bringing these two excellent whiskeys and a liqueur bonus for you to sample:

BULLEIT BOURBON – this small batch bourbon has began being produced over a 150 years ago. Its subtlety and complexity stem from its unique blend of rye, corn and barley malt, along with special strains of yeast. Because Bulleit Bourbon is especially high in rye content, it has a bold and spicy character with a distinctively smooth, clean finish.

BULLEIT RYE – aged for 6 years, this delicious whiskey is composed of 95% rye grains, a much higher concentration than the mandated 51 percent. Its taste moves toward nuts, toffee and spice, plus a little cherry fruit, followed by a lasting finish of maple and oak.

BAILEY’S ALMANDE – this dairy-free Irish Cream liqueur, made with almond milk, offers delectable flavors of nuttiness and creamy vanilla for mixing into your cocktails or just drinking over ice.

LAMBERT DE SEYSSEL “PETIT ROYAL” – from the village of Seyssel in the French Alps, this delicious sparkling wine is made from the grapes Molette and Altesse (which dates back to at least 1363 in this area). Offering delightful flavors of alpine flowers, dried fruit, wildflower honey, and a toasty, yeasty note that gives this sparkler an aromatic richness and complexity.

LA GARNACHA SALVAJE – from the Moncayo district of Spain, this fresh and fruity Garnacha wine possesses a sweet tannin structure that features flavors of spice and wild berries along with mineral qualities from its being aged in French oak barrels.

“STARS LIKE OURS” ROSE – this delicious rose is a blend of 72% Pinot Noir, 22% Grenache and 6% Syrah. Dry and crisp with nice acidity, this refreshing wine offers flavors of watermelon and lemon zest wrapped around a hint of juicy strawberry.

BRANDER SAUVIGNON BLANC – this nicely balanced wine offers flavors of honeydew melon and hibiscus while notes of lemon meringue pie, orange zest, white nectarine, and guava round out the deliciously ripe palate.

SPANN VINEYARDS “CLASSIC FOUR” – this Bordeaux-style red blend from Sonoma County is made up of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, 26% Petit Verdot and 6% Malbec. Deep, dark red fruit flavors (including dry cherries) with a hint of spice balanced by medium acidity make for a full-bodied, easy-drinking wine.
