Join us this Friday as we celebrate this little bit of early Spring weather we’re getting. We’ll start off our line-up with COOP ALE WORKS out of Oklahoma City bringing these beers for you to taste:

F5 IPA – earning a 96 points score on RateBeer, the straightforward malt body of this IPA supports the distinctive bouquet of Columbus and Falconers Flight hops that impart citrus, grapefruit and pine notes characteristic of the West Coast style.

SPARE RIB PALE ALE – Big on late-hopped flavor, easy on bitterness, our American Pale Ale has a heaping portion of Columbus and Amarillo hops added after it leaves the brewhouse.

DNR – earning a 91 points score on RateBeer, this Belgian-style dark ale is made from central and western European malts, Noble hops, candy sugar and a traditional Trappist yeast. Notes of dried fruit, cinnamon and vanilla make DNR a very complex experience.

Clyde May straight bourbonFor the whiskey,  we’ll be sampling the famous Kentucky-distilled  CLYDE MAY’S STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY.  This non-chill filtered 9s proof straight bourbon is a classic 5-year-old, easy drinking spirit. Using simple and traditional ingredients, the bourbon mash is patiently aged in heavily “alligator” charred new American oak barrels to produce exceptional flavors.

It gives off aromas of a soft, sweet brown sugar, baked apricot, wild strawberry and nutmeg. Its soft, rustic palate delivers complex tastes of barrel spice, fruit, caramel, vanilla, dried corn, peanuts, herbal spice, and a light touch of citrus with a finish that’s robust, long and delicious.

And for the wines, our wonderful rep from Lile Wine will be bringing these four for your tasting enjoyment:

VAGLIO “TEMPLE” MALBEC – Full-bodied and intense, the wine shoes subtle notes of dark black fruit, rose petals, and hints of baking spices from the oak ageing (40% of the wine has been aged in new French oak barrels)

vaglio-temple-malbecJI JI JI CHENIN BLANC – with a score of 93 points from Robert Parker, this white wine from Argentina is sharp with high acidity and notes of wild herbs, bright orchard fruits plus some lemon pith and a little lime.

BRAZOS MDZ MALBEC – with a rich mouth feel held up by a good structure and smooth tannins, this fruit driven wine showcases boysenberry, blackberry, cocoa and cola nut flavors on the palate. The finish is long and smooth with hints of dried herbs and cedar that encapsulate the bright and vibrant wine.

ARADON RIOJA CRIANZA – a blend of 90% Tempranillo, 5% Garnacha and 5% Mazuelo, this Spanish wine starts off soft with flavors of black fruit that develop into rich, sweet and spicy balsamic notes, and finishes with a nice full-bodied minerality. Wonderfully warm taste.
