FREE EVENT

Join us this week for tastings as we celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, and run specials on tequila and beer for Cinco de Mayo on Friday. Let’s start with the wines —

Roederer Estate Brut – the first California sparkling wine produced by Champagne Louis Roederer, builds upon a 200-year tradition of fine winemaking that has made Roederer champagne among the most sought-after in the world. Aged from one to three years, wines from this reserve cellar are added to the blend, creating a multi-vintage cuvee in the traditional Roederer style.

Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc – Winemaker Kim Crawford forged this superior example of Sauvignon Blanc. It serves up a bushel of warm peach skin aromas, a nicely layered palate and a brightness of core and citrus fruit in the finish. A super classy wine with lots to like about it.

Planeta-Rose-Sicilia-IGT-2013

Donati Paicines Claret – Aromas of strawberries and cocoa introduce a generous palate of ripe black cherry, vanilla, and clove. This delicious blend is made up of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 13% Malbec, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot.

Planeta Rose – Made in Sicily with a blend that’s 50% Syrah / 50% Nero d’Avola (also known as Calabrese). This rose is silky smooth, slightly dry, with a blend of citrus flavors that remind of tangerines and light plums. Delicious and makes a great pairing with any summer-type food.

For the vodkas —

COORANBONG and BOMBORA VODKAS – Cooranbong is a vodka made out of grapes from the Barossa Valley in Australia, distilled 10 times to make it a  “smooth,” bite-free vodkas with  an almost spring water-like finish in the mouth. Bombora is distilled 7 times from premium Australian grapes, and utilizes Australian water to create one of the smoothest, cleanest and freshest  gluten-free vodkas in its price-point on the market today.

torn label tonguelashAnd for the beer, we’re welcoming a local favorite —

TORN LABEL BREWING’S dry-hopped sour ale TONGUE LASH. Kettle soured with a generous addition of tropical, zesty Amarillo hops makes this offering especially vibrant. Citrusy notes of fresh tangerine and grapefruit on the nose blend with a flavor that is unmistakably tart and mouth-puckering. Consummately refreshing, the juicy, floral character of the hops contribute to an overall tannic, sour mango profile.

And for the Cinco de Mayo tequilas, we’re running specials on Cuervo Tequilas and pre-mixed margaritas, and on Patron Silver and Reposado. So come out Friday and join us!
