Join us this Friday for a pre-Halloween tasting featuring one of our favorite brewers, some of the smoothest vodkas for the money. and a great selection of wines for the Fall. We’ll kick off with Aa line-up from Nebraska beer company TALLGRASS BREWING

SONGBIRD SAISON – A refreshing Belgian-style ale where apricot and lemon flavors mingle with fresh-cracked pepper and citrus notes.

ZOMBIE MONKEY – A robust porter crafted with loads of roasted dark chocolate and specialty malts, Zombie Monkie also is inoculated with enough hops to add a floral, citrus character to the finish.

8-BIT PALE ALE – Channeled through the Hop Rocket — a stainless steel vessel packed with whole-leaf Cascade hops — which infuses the beer with an extra burst of bright citrus hop flavors and aromas.

cooranbongVANILLA BEAN BUFFALO SWEAT – Adds the silky sweetness of vanilla to the original Buffalo Sweat oatmeal cream stout, creating a rich and creamy, medium-bodied well-balanced beer.

For the vodkas, we’re bringing back —

COORANBONG and BOMBORA VODKAS – Cooranbong is a vodka made out of grapes from the Barossa Valley in Australia, distilled 10 times to make it a  “smooth,” bite-free vodkas with  an almost spring water-like finish in the mouth. Bombora is distilled 7 times from premium Australian grapes, and utilizes Australian water to create one of the smoothest, cleanest and freshest  gluten-free vodkas in its price-point on the market today.

And for the wines, our excellent rep from A Bommarito will be bringing this selection for you to sample:

MONTE ANTICO – A Tuscan classic blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.  A medium to full-bodied palate where ripe red fruit, subtle notes of vanilla and violets harmonize and linger, interlacing with the soft tannins and a silky texture.

RAMSAY PINOT NOIR –  Explodes with blueberry, Bing cherry, anise and toast. Even more striking is the depth and richness of the mouth-feel, like a rich, thick, red pillow for the mouth. The wine is very fruity, with blackberry characters and a big, rich, tarry and solid balance.

Monte%20AnticoRIFF PINOT GRIGIO – Fine, fruity with notes of apples and peaches, the wine is pronounced, clean, and elegant. Light to medium-bodied with a fresh mouth-watering finish. Dry and crisp.

SARACCO MOSCATO D’ASTI – with a score of 90 points from Robert Parker, this is one of the top moscato wines on the market. It’s sweet and seductive, vibrant and sharp, refreshing and effervescent  with delicate and persistent bubbles.

CATENA CABERNET SAUVIGNON – with a score of 90 points from Robert Parker, this Argentinian Cabernet is full-bodied and rich and displays layers of black currant and black raspberry with notes of cedar and oregano. This is an elegant wine with silky tannins that provide structure and a long and persistent finish.
