Join us this pre-Super Bowl Friday as we bring out a great variety of adult beverage goodies for you to taste. We’ll kick off the tasting with a selection of beers from SCHLAFLY BEER out of St. Louis who’ll be bringing these for you to try:
WHITE LAGER – with 25 IBUs and a strong malt backbone of Europils and wheat, this unfiltered German-style Lager offers a nice yeasty, hazy flavor with a hint of orange peel citrus zest added.
DOUBLE BEAN BLONDE – brewed with Ghanaian cocoa nibs and blended with a toddy of Tanzanian beans roasted by St. Louis’ own Kaldi’s Coffee, this luscious golden ale delivers the unmistakable flavors and aromas of coffee and the smooth richness of chocolate
BLACK IPA – earning a 91 point score on RateBeer, this beer combines the roasted malt flavours of porters and stouts with the bright hoppiness of the American IPA. Dry hopped for additional flavour and aroma, without adding unnecessary bitterness.
For the whiskeys, our wonderful rep from Lohr Distribution will be bringing these for you to try from HIGH WEST DISTILLERY in Utah:
AMERICAN PRAIRIE BOURBON – Silver Medal Winner at the Whiskeys of the World 2015 Competition. A delicious blend of three bourbons: 1) a 2-year-old bourbon, (2) a 6-year-old bourbon from Kentucky, and (3) a 13-year-old bourbon from Kentucky.
DOUBLE RYE – this 92 proof marries two ryes, a 2-year-old and a 16-year-old rye whose caramel sweetness and woody rich vanilla balances out the younger rye. The resulting combination is bold and balanced with a taste profile of cinnamon, clove, anise, eucalyptus buttons, evergreen “gin-like” flavors and a vibrant finish.
CAMPFIRE WHISKEY – this sweet, spicy and smoky whiskey features a combination of all-over-5-year-old straight bourbon, straight rye, and Scotch offers flavors of vanilla, honey, toffee with some nice fruit. Chai spices – nutmeg, cinnamon and orange zest. Salty caramels. Tobacco. And a gentle smokiness!
And for the wines, our rep from Trademark will be bringing these for you to sample:
SUMMERS ESTATE ANDRIANA’S CABERNET SAUVIGNON – this excellent cuvee contains a mix of cabernet grapes from Sonoma County, Lake County and Napa. It also includes other Bordeaux red varieties as well as tiny amounts of Syrah and Petite Sirah. Medium bodied and dusty, with dried herb tones, it’s structured, velvety and finishes on a dark chocolate note.
SUMMERS ESTATE CHARBONO – a very rare varietal, the Italian Charbono grape is grown in less than 100 acres of California soil. this bold Calistoga wine is mid-full bodied with robust, earthy flavors of deep fruit including blueberry, boysenberry and a hint of dried plum.
SIX DEGREES CHARDONNAY – heady flavors of creamy oak, green apple and honey finish with a lingering softness.
SIX DEGREES PINOT NOIR – a complex blend of flavors with raspberry and strawberry fruit combining with nuances of vanilla, toffee, and cedar to initialize the experience, while mellow tannins guide the wine towards a gratifying finale.
