Join us this first Friday in April as we try to shrug off the cold weather with a warming line-up of adult beverages for you to sample. We’ll start off with ZIPLINE BREWING CO., a wonderful Lincoln, NEB beer maker who’s bringing these beers for you to try:
KOLSCH – A refreshing ale that drinks like a lager, their German-style Kölsch pours straw yellow with hints of honey malt character and a smooth, crisp finish.
LEMONDROP PALE ALE – Lemon candy aromas spring from this golden pale ale while copious additions of Lemondrop and Citra hops provide a burst of crisp citrus zest.
IPA – This bright, golden IPA overflows with juicy hops, showcasing a sublime blend of tropical citrus, grapefruit and mango aromas.
COPPER ALT – A hybrid style between an ale and a lager, this bronze-hued brew goes down easy with subtle nuances of chocolate and hazelnut. 2015 GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL® · GOLD MEDAL · GERMAN-STYLE ALTBIER
For the vodkas, we’re bringing back an old fave withy a new twist —
COORANBONG and BOMBORA VODKAS – Cooranbong is a vodka made out of grapes from the Barossa Valley in Australia, distilled 10 times to make it a “smooth,” bite-free vodkas with an almost spring water-like finish in the mouth. Bombora is distilled 7 times from premium Australian grapes, and utilizes Australian water to create one of the smoothest, cleanest and freshest gluten-free vodkas in its price-point on the market today.
Along with the vodkas for you to taste, we’ll also have these great products to mix with them from our local KANSAS CITY CANNING CO:
PICKLED BLOODY MARY MIX – Slightly tangy, and full of bold tomato, garlic and herb flavors with a touch of spicy Sriracha, you’ll find no need to spruce up this Bloody Mary mix.
SRIRACHA PICKLED GREEN BEANS – Salty and spicy, these addictive green beans are pickled with Sriracha, garlic cloves, whole peppercorns and jalapeños. Use as a garnish with their Bloody Mary Mix, throw in a little of the pickling liquid for good measure, add Vodka and done!
And for the wines, we’ll be hosting the Overland Park, KS based AUBREY WINES who are bringing these Spring favorites:
CHAMBOURCIN – This elegant dry red wine exhibits complex spicy, smoky and earthy aromas and flavors complimented by layers of black cherry and wild berries. Its silky, velvety texture and light to medium body resemble the finest burgundies.
APPLE WINE – Freshly pressed, local apple juice was slowly fermented at low temperatures in order to retain clean and crisp aromas and flavors of pure, fresh apples.
HONEY WINE – Made by fermenting pure, local honey. Intense yet delicate honey aromas and flavors dominate this sweet and delightful wine.
CATAWBA – This light red could almost be a rosé. Catawba is one of America’s most famous grapes, and the Aubrey version has enough juicy acidity to balance its sugar. Think of gourmet strawberry preserves.
