Join us this last Friday evening in April as we celebrate the onset of sunny weather with a tasting that will get you all set for Spring patio weather. We’ll start off with an assortment of beers from Michigan beermaking favorite BELLS BREWERY who’ll be bringing these for you to sample:

OBERON – a wheat ale fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer.

OARSMAN ALE – tart and refreshing, this sessionable, bright Wheat Ale exudes citrus and lemony aromas from Cascade hops and trades sour intensity for finesse.

TWO HEARTED ALE – a delicious IPA brewed with 100% Centennial hops is perfectly balanced with a malt backbone combined with the signature fruity flavors of Bell’s house yeast from pine to grapefruit from massive hop additions in both the kettle and the fermenter.

For the liquor, we’ll be bringing in our hometown MEAN MULE DISTILLING with their —

MEAN MULE SILVER – handcrafted from 100% blue agave from Jalisco, Mexico but distilled here in Kansas City, this American Agave spirit combines rare yeast with the agave for a smooth flavor that equals many of the fine tequilas.

And for the wines, our excellent rep from Terra Firma will be bringing these for you to try:

LAVENDETTE ROSE – from the foothills of the Provence Alps, this light and elegant wine made from mostly Syrah grapes offers flavors of red currant and red berries with a soft acidity and light minerality to balance its hints of spice and lavender with its natural fruitiness.

VINA ROBLES RED 4 – this Paso Robles estate blend of 50% Petite Sirah, 20% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre is dark and luscious with smooth texture and flavors of rich, juicy blackberry, dark cherry and blueberry with a touch of cocoa on its long and generous finish.

PAPARUDA ESTATE PINOT GRIGIO – from the section of Romania that’s been producing wine since the 15th Century, this stainless steel tank fermented wine’s flavors are packed full of fresh juicy lemon and lime citrus and the green fruits of apple flesh and pear, well balanced with medium acidity, and finishing with lighter fragrant flavors of peach and grapefruit.

“THE PATH” PINOT NOIR – starting off with softly rounded flavors of dried strawberry, dried cranberry and cranberry cocktail, this medium body Pinot Noir unfolds in layers of red stone fruit and dark berries, and ends with well-integrated tannins.
