Don’t miss our special Thursday evening event as we welcome ZAMIR GOTTA, who will personally be here tasting out his ZAMIR VODKA, a Russian-style vodka created in collaboration with Zamir, Anthony Bourdain’s Russian traveling companion on several episodes of CNN’s Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and Travel Channel’s No Reservations.
The Russian-style Zamir vodka is based on a hard-to-find soft white winter wheat that is difficult to grow but takes well to distilling. Another key component is the water, which has added minerals. The end result is a sweeter flavor that Zamir describes as being like freshly baked bread.

Join us this week for something a little different as we substitute a selection of ciders for our normal beer company. We’ll start off the evening with a bevy of cider company offerings for you to try:
SEATTLE CIDER’S DRY HARD CIDER – Tart. Puckering. Bright, sour, green apple flavor with faint orange and lemon citrus and a little bit of pears. Sweetness is very low. For fans of dry cider and sour beer, this one is for you.
SEATTLE CIDER’S SEMI-SWEET HARD CIDER – A sweet, fresh picked apple aroma dominates this cider, which was produced primarily with culinary apples. Slight floral hints and some candied lemon rind mixes with some sweet, straightforward apple flavors.
SEATTLE CIDER’S BASIL MINT HARD CIDER – This herb-infused cider is light, refreshing, and slightly tart, made with an impressive 100 pounds each of fresh basil and mint per batch. Muddled on site, the basil and mint are then added directly to the cider during fermentation, creating an off-dry cider that starts savory and floral, perfectly complemented by a tart, clean finish. Offering an aroma and initial flavor of basil, this cider finishes with just a hint of mint.
ACE CIDER’S JOKER – Ultra-dry, 6.9% ABV, Champagne characteristics. Strong white grape flavors mix with red apple skin astringency and some green apple tartness in the finish.
ACE CIDER’S APPLE CIDER – Made with 100% pure juice and containing a variety of 6 dessert apples, their flagship brand has a clean dry finish that gives it a taste very much like a Sauvignon Blanc.
ACE CIDER’S PERRY CIDER – Made from apple and pear juices with Madagascar vanilla added. Champagne yeast is used and allowed to ferment for 10-14 days. Perry is then cold-filtered 4 times and carbonated before packaging. With its lovely pear nose, smooth semi-sweet mouth feel, and dry finish, Ace Perry has won awards in the US and overseas.
SAMUEL SMITH’S ORGANIC CIDER – Gold Medal Winner – 92 points, World Beer Championships, April 2016. Using a mix of apple varieties selected to balance fresh apple flavor with tartness, acidity, and sweetness. Samuel Smith’s uses a wine yeast strain to ferment their cider, providing a clean finish and allowing pure apple flavor to shine through.
For the liquor, we’ll be welcoming DULCE VIDA TEQUILA which sources its organic agave from the Los Altos highlands in the Tequila region of Mexico. Because of the unique climatic characteristics and the air & soil, this area is well known for producing larger, fruitier agave, ideal for tequila. They’ll be bringing these three flavors for you to sample:
BLANCO – has a pleasant citrus aroma that is well balanced with a hint of spice and a sweet agave finish.
LIME – 70 proof, handcrafted from 100% blue agave, then infused with lime juice and uniquely blended. Straight out of the bottle it tastes like the best margarita you’ve ever had.
GRAPEFRUIT – 70 proof, handcrafted from 100% blue agave, then infused with grapefruit and uniquely blended. Incredibly refreshing!
And for the wines, our wonderful rep from A. Bommarito will be bringing these for you to try:
GERARD BERTRAND GRIS BLANC ROSE – Grenache is the king of grape varieties when it comes to making light, racy, fruity rosés. A slight sparkle on the palate gives the wine all its freshness and brings out the fullness of fruit. The elegant finish is pleasantly fresh and mineral driven.
SEVEN TERRACES SAUVIGNON BLANC – Vibrant fruit flavors of ripe gooseberries, citrus fruits, red capsicums, and passion fruit. are balanced by a firm, slightly minerally finish.
VINA COTERRO RIOJA CRIANZA – A blend of 80% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano & 10% Garnacha. Pliant and appealingly sweet on the palate, it offers dark flavors of bitter cherry, raspberry and coconut sharpened by a jolt of cracked pepper. Closes smooth, broad and very long, with an echo of vanilla and velvety, deftly integrated tannins.
VILLA MATILDE FALANGHINA – this delicious white wine is elegant, fruity and floral, with distinct notes of citrus, pineapple, bananas and yellow peach, as well as genista flowers, roses and a delicate nuance of sage leaves.
CASTLE ROCK RED WINE CUVEE – A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Merlot (40%), Syrah (10%) and Pinot Noir (10%) from the Columbia Valley. Elegant and full-bodied with flavors of blackberries and spices with light toasted oak, framed with well-balanced tannins and acidity.
