This Friday we will be hosting Crane Brewing Co., another great hometown Kansas City beer maker who’s bringing these beers (and a surprise one or two) for you to sample from:

Farmhouse IPA. Big, bold, juicy American hops join the dry, yeast driven saison flavor to create an aromatic, uninterrupted hop experience.

Saison. A farmhouse-style beer brewed to finish dry and refresh. Its flavor has a tasty malt up front. followed by fruity yeast and ends lightly bitter and crisp.

Apricot Weiss. Tart and juicy with a defined apricot presence; tangy, pulpy and smooth with wheat and yeast.

S D Strong VodkaOrange Gose. The refreshing taste packs a sour punch with the juicy orange flavor up front like a sour mimosa. Light-bodied with a malty background, a perfect beer to drink year-round.

And for the spirits —

From a cave in Parkville, Missouri, beneath Park University’s historic campus, micro-distillery S.D. STRONG VODKA will be bringing his excellent small batch vodka for you to taste. Strong filters the vodka 16 times using eight different filter heads to control the smoothness.

The smoothness makes it great for martinis.

And for the wines, our wonderful rep from Pinnacle is bringing these for you to sample:

Vino Pinot Grigio – From Charles Smith Winery in Washington, this Italian inspired pinot grigio starts off with flavors of cut summer grass that gives way to white nectarine, honeysuckle, Italian melon and white anise, crushed seashells and minerals.

Vinum Cellars Chardonnay – layered tropical notes of mango, papya and pineapple transition into silky rich custard and carmel toffee notes and does so in an integrated fashion. This wine is rich and layered, but relies on the natural acidity from the Santa Lucia Highland fruit.

salt of the earth rubinoMarietta Cellars Christo Lot #2 – with a score of 92 points from Robert Parker, this  blend of 69% Syrah, 12% Petite Sirah, 18% Grenache, and 1% Viognier offers peppery, cured meat, blackberry, black currant and Provençal herb characteristics in its full-bodied, earthy, deep, chewy, powerful flavor profile.

Atalaya Lays – With a Robert Parker score of 88, Laya is a blend of 70% Garnacha and 30% Monastrell, with a superb bouquet of pure dark cherries, blackberry and incense that would normally grace a wine far more expensive.

Salt Of The Earth Moscato Rubino –  made with the rare Black Muscat grape and Muscat Canelli. Perfect for dark fruit lovers, and for those who enjoy sweet red wine. Intense strawberry and cherry flavors burst forth with the first taste and are carried away on a light, slightly effervescent river of fresh fruit.
