FREE EVENT
Join us this Friday evening as we celebrate this post-4th of July weekend with a mix of adult beverages. We’ll tip off the tastings with beers from Missouri’s own MOTHER’S BREWING CO. who are bringing these selections for you to sample:
LIL’ HELPER IPA – aggressively hopped in both the wort kettle and aging vessel for a sharp, clean bitterness and fragrant citrus hop flavors.
BLUSH – A subtly fruity and quenching Belgian wit that offers flavors of sweet tart pomegranate, doughy malt and white pepper earthy floral hibiscus.
CUCUMBER SAISON – a traditional Belgian-style saison juiced with fresh, bright cucumber, spicy and estery Belgian yeast, and dry cracker malt.
THREE BLIND MICE – this beautiful brown beer is medium-bodied with caramel, toffee, and subtle chocolate malt flavors—all balanced by moderate hop notes and a clean, dry finish.
For the liquors, we’ll be hosting the fine makers of CODIGO 1530 TEQUILAS. Perfected over several generations the way one would a homemade recipe, their tequilas begin with fully-matured agave aged over seven years, which is cooked in stainless steel ovens, fermented utilizing an organic family baker’s yeast in Amatitán, and distilled twice in stills handmade by the distilling family themselves. .
We’ll be tasting these selections of theirs:
BLANCO – their unrested tequila. Perfect, fully aged agave rewards your tastebuds with a pure, honest taste. No chemicals or additives are found in their exclusive Blanco.
REPOSADO – Aged for six months in Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels, Código 1530 Reposado embraces the agave-driven flavors of Los Bajos tequila, with its subtle, natural hints of many of the signature flavors found in whiskeys, including vanilla, chocolate and caramel.
ROSA – rested for 1 month in an uncharred Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels. The result is a refined spirit with a natural color as beautiful as its taste. Our Rosa has rested just long enough in our fine cabernet barrels to enrich the natural agave juice, yet not too long to prevent overpowering its delicate floral notes.
And for the wines, our excellent rep from Vianello will be bringing these for you to try:
TENUTA PARAIDA ROSE – Gold Medal winner at the 2017 Cannes Wine Festival, the luminous fruity palate of this rose doles out juicy raspberry, red cherry and a hint of Mediterranean herb while a white almond note gives it a pleasantly bitter close.
CA ED BALOS MOSCATO D’ASTI – this Italian sparkling wine is soft and sweet with flavors of peach mousse, tangerine, white almond, honey, ginger and spring flower, and a distant touch of tangy spice on the finish.
PERTICO PINOT GRIGIO – dry and smooth on the palate with a creaminess of texture, offering rich apple and pear flavors with a racy acidity and a pleasant, mineral aftertaste.
BIDOLI SAUVIGNON BLANC – this Italian Sauvignon Blanc is substantial with more body, weight, and intensity than most Sauvignon Blancs. Ripe pear, passion fruit, carmelized grapefruit, and white flowers and herbs open up the palate with a long and flavorful mineral finish.
CONDEMINAL MALBEC – Gold Medal winner at the 2016 Decanter World Wine Awards, this Argentinian wine is aged in stainless steel tanks, then aged further in French Oak barrels to give it more balanced tannins. Intense, with deep red fruit flavors, it feels concentrated and voluptuous.
