Join us this sweltering post-Memorial Day Friday evening for a tasting full of samples designed to keep you cool. We’ll start off by welcoming Denver’s own GREAT DIVIDE BREWING, and independently owned and operated brewery since 1994, who’re bringing these beers for you to try:
DENVER PALE ALE – This American Pale Ale opens with big citrus and pine notes, then smooths out with a faint toasted malt character and dry, slightly bitter finish.
COLETTE – this delicious farmhouse ale is brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains to make it fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats — a beer as refreshing as it is complex.
HEYDAY IPA – Bold Character. Abundantly hopped, light in body, and low on bitterness, this IPA shines with notes of tropical fruit, berry, and melon with a complex hop profile that’s complemented by a crisp malt character.
For the liquors, our rep from McCORMICK/360 VODKAS will be bringing some of their flavors for you to sample outright as well as mixing some interesting cocktails with them, including:
ROYAL BERRY – their 4th Annual Royals commemorative bottle is a limited edition mixed berry flavor with a lightly sweet citrus twist to it that’s made for this season only.
GEORGIA PEACH – offers juicy and refreshing flavor with just the right balance of sweet and tart.
HUCKLEBERRY – a kissing cousin of the blueberry, but with its own distinctly tart citrus berry flavor. The only huckleberry vodka around.
And for the wines, our wonderful rep from Vintegrity will be bringing this selection for you to sample:
WALNUT BLOCK SAUVIGNON BLANC – this extremely appealing New Zealand Marlborough wine offers a silky texture while being crisp and fully dry, with strong tropical fruit flavors including a little gooseberry that finishes with a very subtle seasoning of oak.
SHANNON RIDGE CABERNET SAUVIGNON – part of their High Elevation Collection, its flavors include ripe dark fruits, dark chocolate, black pepper, hints of vanilla and spice. It’s a smooth wine with good structure, rich tannins and a long and lingering finish.
SHANNON RIDGE SAUVIGNON BLANC – earning a 90 points “Editors Choice” from Wine Enthusiast, this High Elevation Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp and refreshing wine with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. The wine has flavors of guava, citrus and lemongrass.
SCARPETTA BARBERA – A medium bodied red wine full of crushed berries and plum flavors, its low tannins but bright acidity give it a wonderful balance.
ZOLO TORRONTES – this sustainable farmed and estate grown white wine from Argentina offers flavors of honeydew melon and lychee with a light and flowery finish.
