Join us for another little-bit-of-everything tasting featuring a diverse line-up of beers, wines, and cocktails. We’ll start off with St. Louis brewer URBAN CHESTNUT who’ll not only be bringing all 4 beers from their new Summer mixed pack for you to try, but they’re also bringing a cheese to pair up with each beer.
STAMMTISCH – a traditional German pilsner featuring a blend of Hallertau and Strisselspalt hops. Winner Grand Champion Pilsner: 2015 US Beer Tasting Championships.
SLIPPILS – S-aint L-ouis I-mperial PILS: it’s not your typical Pilsner, it’s more prodigious (maltier), it’s more audacious (hoppier), it’s less delicate, it’s a 7.5% ABV Imperial.
URBANATOR – this Pale Doppelbock is a Maibock (May-fest) delight that begins with a rush of sweet malts laced with a thin pilsner malt sensation and then quickly gets into modestly bitter floral and spicy hops. 8% ABV
OXNBRAU – a traditional Doppelbock that’s darker, maltier and sweeter in flavor than their Maibock.
For the liquor portion of our tasting event, we’ll be hosting THE BIG O Ginger Liqueur.
Distilled locally in Maplewood, MO, this versatile liqueur is subtle and delicious, with a mix of Asian spices and a hint of citrus that rounds the flavors out. You’ll be able to taste it straight or in cocktails mixtures.
For the wines, Walden Wines will be bringing these 5 wines for you to taste —
Chateau St. Nabor Gris de Nabor Rose – a medium-dry French rose made from Tempranillo, Grenache and Cinsault grapes. Light, crisp and easy drinking, it’s got red fruit flavors of wild strawberries and blueberries with mineral nuances.
Domaine St. Nabor Chardonnay – Medium-bodied and crisp with the richness of exotic fruits enhanced by aromas of apple coupled with banana and pineapple..
Tread Lightly Sauvignon Blanc – from the mountainous region of South Africa, this wine bursts with aromas of gooseberry and passion fruit. Lime and grassy nettle characters dominate the palate, cleverly matching fruit sweetness with natural acidity.
Tread Lightly Rose – cool tank fermented and bottled early to retain freshness, this mildly sweet wine is carries the fruity flavor of Grenache grapes. Great for the pool as this and the Tread Lightly Sauvignon Blanc are available in 1 liter plastic bottles.
Caligiore Malbec – A really gutsy Malbec with a gorgeously dark fruited nose. Rich and fruity, (bitter chocolate, blackcurrant and raisins), gentle tannins and reassuring sweetness on the finish.
