FREE EVENT

Join us this first Friday in March for a little pre-Springtime tasting with some great patio weather adult beverages. We’ll start off the evening with KONA BREWING CO. out of Hawaii, who’ll be bringing this selection of beers for you to sample:

BIG WAVE GOLDEN ALE –  a lighter bodied ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing beer. The use of caramel malt contributes to its golden hue and their special blend of hops provides a bright, thirst-quenching finish.

LONGBOARD ISLAND LAGER – a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

WAILUA WHEAT – A golden ale with a bright, citrus flavor that comes from the tropical passion fruit they brew into it.

Charbay-BloodOrange-VodkaFor the liquors, our wonderful rep from Vintegrity will be bringing vodkas from CHARBAY, a small-batch distillery located in the Napa Valley area of California that’s now on its 13th generation of distillers (even longer than the Jim Beam family). We’ll be tasting these four selections of theirs:

CLEAR VODKA -made with wheat grain and a touch of corn for sweetness, this vodka has a clean flavor that doesn’t suffer from the off notes or the smell of rubbing alcohol that many vodkas suffer from.

GREEN TEA VODKA – made from first-growth green tea from the Anhwei Province, a prime growing region along China’s fabled Silk Route. Featuring a hint of citrus zest, the vodka’s taste is engagingly tea-like, dry and slightly spicy.

MEYER LEMON VODKA – made with 100% spray-free whole Meyer Lemons, extracted skins & all – free of the artificial flavors mass produced vodkas have. Meyer Lemons are believed to be a cross between a standard lemon and a mandarin orange.

BLOOD ORANGE VODKA – made from 100% California-grown Blood Oranges – again, free of the artificial flavors mass produced vodkas have. Extracting the flavor & color takes nearly 6 months.

Balletto roseAnd for the wines, our great rep from Trademark will be bringing these for you to sample:

FILUS MALBEC – earning an 89 score from Wine Spectator, ““There’s a savory edge to the ripe and well-spiced dark plum and raspberry flavors” in this medium-bodied wine that finishes with a hint of sweet tannins.

BALLETTO ROSE – this rose of pinot noir from the Russian River earns a 93 score from the Wine Enthusiast as “this crisp, thirst-quenching wine is fruity, floral and highly inviting, focused in well-defined flavors of tangerine and lemon. finishing with a memorable tang.”

SIX DEGREES CHARDONNAY – heady flavors of creamy oak, green apple and honey finish with a lingering softness.

PICCOLINO ROSSO – Notes of strawberry and rose flavors characterize this Sangiovese from Southern Italy. This wine has a lush body, with a nice lingering finish.

PACIFIC OASIS RIESLING – this Columbia Valley, Washington wine offers flavors of apricot, green apple, honey and lemon with a semi-sweet finish that can be enjoyed with food (especially spicy ones) or by itself. A great warm weather patio wine!
