Join us we start the St. Patrick’s celebration a little early with a tasting event featuring Irish Whiskey, wines and, of course, beer. First, the whiskey’s —

 

JAMESON IRISH WHISKEY: no description needed.

 

JAMESON CASKMATES: Jameson Irish whiskey finished in casks of Franciscan Well, an Irish microbrew stout.

 

JAMESON BLACK BARREL: Derived from a select, small batch of rare grain whiskey, Black Barrel get an average of 12 or so years in the cask. The citrus and green-apple notes prominent in classic Jameson are replaced here by flavors like vanilla, toasted woods and spices, and stewed apples. 

 

For the beers, we’ll be tasting a selection from GOOSE ISLAND:

 

GREEN LINE PALE ALE: American pale ale with a pronounced, bright, American hop aroma and citrus flavor. Notes of biscuit and lightly toasted malt create the backbone for its pleasant, crisp bitterness.

FOUR STAR PILS: This golden-hued pilsner has a light, fresh body and clean finish. Bright, refreshing carbonation mingles with German and American hops to give this pilsner a unique Goose Island spin.

312 WHEAT BEER: The classic urban wheat with a spicy aroma of Cascade hops followed by a crisp, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body that’s immensely refreshing.

 

And for the wines that our wonderful rep from Glazer is bringing for you to sample:

 

LONG MEADOW RANCH SAUVIGNON BLANC: With a Wine Spectator rating of 90 points, on the palate, the flavors include a range of fruit (apricot to citrus), elaborated by salinity, water chestnut and grapefruit zest notes. 

ALMA NEGRA BRUT: With a Robert Parker rating of 90 points, this sparking rose is made from both Malbec and Pinot Noir grapes. Displaying crisp, elegant acids intermixed with strawberry, cranberry and fruit cocktail-like notes, it’s medium-bodied and just delicious.

MARQUES DE CACERES RIOJA: With a Wine Spectator rating of 88 points, this Spanish red blend offers cherry, plum, leafy, licorice and smoke notes that mingle harmoniously over modest tannins. It’s  85% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha Tinta and Graciano.

DONATI PAICINES CLARET: Aromas of strawberries and cocoa introduce a generous palate of ripe black cherry, vanilla, and clove. This delicious blend is made up of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 13% Malbec, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot.
