Join us this Friday for a great tasting event that kicks off with beers from PUBLIC HOUSE BREWERY located in Rolla, MO in the Ozark highlands. They’ll be bringing a variety that includes —
ELUSIVE IPA: A blend of Centennial, Millenium, Falconer’s Flight, Ahtanum and Crystal hops make this one of the smoother tasting IPAs
REVELATION STOUT: A dry stout with aromas of dark chocolate and the familiar taste of coffee that comes from its mix of chocolate and barley malts.
STRAWBERRY WHEAT ALE: The name says it all.
For the whiskey. we’ll be welcoming Gold Medal spirits award-winning FORTY CREEK DISTILLERY out of Canada. Try out both of these fine whiskeys —
Barrel Select Whisky — a premium Whisky whose unique barrel selection process results in aromas of honey, vanilla and apricot fuse with toasty oak, black walnut and spice. The flavour is rich and bold on the palate and is completed in a smooth, long finish. Winner of Gold Medals from the Beverage Tasting Institute from 2010 through 2014 and Golds from the International Whisky Competition and San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Copper Pot Reserve — Patient ageing takes place in white oak barrels, and careful selection of whisky stocks. Bold aromas of toffee, nuts and spice. Dried stone fruits follow through on a smooth, supple entry. Full bodied with rich brown spice notes and hints of marmalade. Winner of Gold Medals from the Beverage Tasting Institute in 2013 and 2014.
And for the wines, our wonderful rep from A. Bommarito will be bringing —
Monte Antico: A Tuscan classic! Medium to full-bodied palate where ripe red fruit, goût de terroir, subtle notes of vanilla and violets harmonize and linger, interlacing with the soft tannins and silky texture. Firm backbone, perfect integration of acidity and fruit.
A To Z Rose: fresh and compelling, finishing lively and long with lingering flavors of strawberries and cherries.
Toad Hollow Chardonnay: 100% unoaked Chardonnay that’s clean and crisp with tropical fruit and citrus flavors. Slow malolactic fermentation with time on the lees help to create a full, rich mouth-feel that perfectly balances the bright acids.
Niel Santofimia: This Spanish wine is sappy and smooth on the palate, offering sweet boysenberry and blueberry flavors and a hint of black pepper. A spicy quality builds on the plush, sweet, slightly warm finish. 85% Garnacha Tintorera, 15% Merlot.
Lagaria Pinot Grigio: Light tones of peach and citrus segue to good freshness and a thin, crisp mouth-feel.
