Join us this Memorial Day weekend as we offer up a selection of festive adult beverages for you to taste. We’ll kick off with BALLAST POINT BREWING CO. , the San Diego beer-maker that’s become incredibly popular around KC, who’ll be bringing these beers for you to sample:
UNFILTERED SCULPIN – earning a 98 points score on RateBeer, this extra-hopped IPA packs extra hops into every sip, enhancing the classic Sculpin notes of fresh apricot, peach, mango and lemon with a slight haze and less bitterness.
GRUNION PALE ALE – award-winning hoppy pale ale with strong yet balanced summer melon aromas and herbal flavors, and a soft caramel malt sweetness to hold it all together. Earns its well-deserved 98 score on RateBeer.
MANGO EVEN KEEL – A full-flavored session IPA with a silky malt backbone, a bright hop profile of herbs and citrus, with the delicious flavor of mango added.
TART PEACH KOLSCH – The juicy flavor of ripe peach complements the subtle fruitiness from the Kölsch yeast in this bright, refreshing ale with a nice tickle of tartness
For the cocktails, our rep from BOOZY BOTANICALS will be combining various liquors in with these botanical simple syrup mixers of theirs that are also perfect for mixing with sparkling water, lemonade, tea or coffee:
ROSEMARY MINT – a delicate balance between warm and crisp, earthy honey sweetness, herbal and savory.
CARDAMOM SPICE – a curry inspired blend of 6 spices, wrapped in a bouquet of orange blossom and licorice vines.
GINGER HISBISCUS – vibrant, floral, sweet tartness and subtle ginger notes give your cocktails a refreshing lift.
THREE PEPPER – this Sweet Heat blend of Jalapeño, Anaheim and Serrano Pepper is spicy and herbaceous.
CLASSIC ROSE – deliciously aromatic with the floral taste of rose petals and a smooth honeyed finish.
LAVENDER EARL GREY – a flavorful combination of lavender and bergamot floral tastes in an earl grey tea syrup.
And for the wines, our rep from Terra Firma will be bringing these to please your palate:
RUBY RED ROSE – this wonderfully refreshing French rose is a blend of 80% Cotes du Provence Rose with ruby red grapefruit juice. Mix with Champagne or Prosecco for a perfect poolside summer cocktail.
CHATEAU LA PETITE BORIE BORDEAUX – a French red with Earth, cherry and spice on the nose. Cherries and pepper on the palate. Strong tannins which are a bit coarse.
MAPRECO VINHO VERDE – this Portuguese white wine is fresh and fruity with a light effervescence that sets off the crisp apple and tangy citrus flavors.
COVILA RIOJA – this Spanish red blend made from primarily tempranillo and garnacha grapes offers deep fruit flavors in a well-structured wine that has balanced acidity and sweet tannins. Easy drinking and delicious.
