12th OF NEVER – with a 95 score on RateBeer, this is a blend of Old and New School hops that play bright citrus, rich coconut, and papaya-esque flavors, all on a solid stage of English puffed wheat. Tropically hoppy. Light, yet full-bodied. Bright and citrusy.

JOHN BARR (BLENDED) – Starts off smooth and sweet with flavors of caramel/butterscotch, Speyside malt, grains, wood, pepper and a bit of sherry, then finishes with a little toffee. vanilla, oak, a hint of licorice and more pepper.

DALMORE 12-YEAR – a toasty, coffee-rich dram with beautifully spice notes and a thick mouthfeel. Very rich for a 12 year old with notes of Seville marmalade and triple sec with winter spices and fruitcake. Zesty cocoa and milk chocolate.

DALMORE CIGAR MALT – a blend of Dalmore single malts between 12 and 15 years old that starts off with flavors of toffee, caramel edging towards the burnt cinder-toffee side of things, flamed orange-zest, and perfectly integrated sherry, then finishes with the delicious notes of Christingles (orange Zest and clove with a touch of cinnamon).

ISLE OF JURA SUPERSTITION – A single malt made up of different ages, 13 percent of whisch is said to be heavily peated. Sweet and porridge-like on the tongue, with hints of white pepper and black forest honey with hot buttered toast, then finishes with cocoa and rice paper with hints of honey and spice on the tail.

And for the wines, our great rep from Major Brands will be bringing these four wines for you to sample:

susana_balbo_malbecJANUIK CABERNET SAUVIGNON – brimming with cassis, raspberry, cocoa and warm vanilla notes in the nose. Its texture is amazingly supple and lingers across the palate, imparting a long, polished finish that was developed in part from aging in new French Oak barrels.

PUZELAT “LE TELQUEL” GAMAY – from the Loire Valley in France, this is a blend of grolleau, gamay and pineau d’aunis that has a slight spiciness mixed with juicy red berry flavors (and a slight tang of cherry and cranberry) that finishes with a slight edge of minerality.

LEEUWIN ESTATE RIESLING – with a score of 90 from Robert Parker, this delicious Australian wine tastes of freshly cut limes, lemon sorbet and hints of Granny Smith apples combined with pronounced floral notes, hints of sweet spice and fragrant kaffir lime leaf. The palate is taut and fine with bursting Tahitian lime and lemon pith. Lively and racy acid underpins the palate throughout.

SUSANA BALBO MALBEC – with a score of 90 from Robert Parker, this Argentinian Malbec offers blackberry, black cherry, and ripe plum fruit with a hint of toasty vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, and a hint of mint on the finish. This is a ripe and rich style of wine.
