Join us this Friday as we get into the Halloween season with a great line-up of Fall-style adult beverages for you to sample. We’ll be kicking off the proceedings with hometown favorite BOULEVARD BREWING as they taste out these great seasonal brews:
FUNKY PUMPKIN – a pumpkin ale upstaged by cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and ginger. Brewhouse souring lends a subtle, pleasant tartness putting the “unk” in “funky.”
FUNKIER PUNPKIN – focusing on the complexity that brettanomyces can bring to a beer, Funkier Pumpkin offers subtle pumpkin flavor accented by traditional spicing in a beer that showcases the hallmark earthy/forest floor notes of our house wild yeast strain.
CRANBERRY ORANGE RADLER – The newest seasonal. The blood orange character boldly manifests in the flavor giving way to cranberry tartness. The base beer, Unfiltered Wheat Beer, contributes a slightly sweet bready flavor to the malt profile of the beer that shines with bright citrus flavor and a touch of acidity.
For the liquor portion of the tasting, our rep from Glazier is bringing these two offerings from CROWN ROYAL WHISKEYS for you to try:
CROWN ROYAL REGAL APPLE – a blend of their hand-selected smooth whiskies infused with natural apple flavors. The blend opens with a nose of bright apples balanced with their signature Crown Royal whisky and hints of spice.
CROWN ROYAL VANILLA – blended and infused with the rich flavor of Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla. The result is a uniquely sophisticated whisky, bursting with the bold flavor of vanilla and the distinctive smoothness of Crown Royal, with a Crème Brulee aftertaste.
And for the wines, our wonderful rep from Lile Wine will be bringing these four for your tasting enjoyment:
WONDERWALL PINOT NOIR – leads off with fresh and delicious flavors of deep black cherry, boysenberry and just-picked strawberry. The palate is medium-bodied, round and very lush with subtle baking spice nuances seasoning the fruit on the long finish.
A LOS VINATEROS BRAVOS “CANTO A LO DIVINO” – made from 100% Cinsault from the Nipos subzone of Itata, Chile to produce a vibrant, almost zesty, medium-bodied wine with an exceptional balance of red fruit with a subtle thread of earth, food friendly acidity. Very small production of only 900 cases.
JI JI JI CHENIN BLANC – with a score of 93 points from Robert Parker, this white wine from Argentina is sharp with high acidity and notes of wild herbs, bright orchard fruits plus some lemon pith and a little lime.
BRAZOS MDZ MALBEC – with a rich mouth feel held up by a good structure and smooth tannins, this fruit driven wine showcases boysenberry, blackberry, cocoa and cola nut flavors on the palate. The finish is long and smooth with hints of dried herbs and cedar that encapsulate the bright and vibrant wine.
