Saturday June 4th – Ballast Point Beer Afternoon!

 

For your drinking at the pool pleasure (where no glass is allowed), this Saturday afternoon Ballast Point Brewing Co. , the San Diego beer-maker that’s become incredibly popular, will be bringing these five beers (all available in cans) for you to sample:

 

GRAPEFRUIT SCULPIN – the tart freshness of grapefruit perfectly complements their Sculpin IPA’s unique citrusy hop character.  Deserves its great 95 score on RateBeer.

 

 

PINEAPPLE SCULPIN – The combination of some sweet, juicy pineapple enhances the flavor of their signature Sculpin IPA to make it even more of a refreshing Summer beer choice. Gets a 97 score on RateBeer.

 

MANGO EVEN KEEL – A full-flavored session IPA with a silky malt backbone, a bright hop profile of herbs and citrus, with the delicious flavor of mango added.

 

GRUNION PALE ALE – award-winning hoppy pale ale with strong yet balanced summer melon aromas and herbal flavors, and a soft caramel malt sweetness to hold it all together. Earns its well-deserved 98 score on RateBeer.

 

LONGFIN LAGER – A solidly balanced  German-style Helles that finishes clean with a hint of hops, it would easily fit in at any German beer garden.
