Join us this Thursday for a very special wine tasting provided for by our wonderful rep from Glazer who’ll be bringing these fine wines for you to sample:

JORDAN CABERNET SAUVIGNON –  earning a score of 92 points from Wine Enthusiast, this wine is remarkable for its structure and gracefulness with concentrated flavors of blackberries and cassis interwoven seamlessly with fine tannins from new French oak barrels that’s  harnessed by a beautiful balance of acidity and dark fruits with a long, cassis-laced finish.

JORDAN CHARDONNAY –  earning a score of 91 points from Wine Enthusiast, Spicy nutmeg meets a reckoning of Meyer lemon zest, stone fruits and grapefruit pith in this light, bright, elegant white that’s subtle in oak. Notions of just-ripe pear follow the wine’s elegant balance, creamy mouthfeel and subtle oak nuances.

ROEDERER ESTATE BRUT – the first California sparkling wine produced by Champagne Louis Roederer, builds upon a 200-year tradition of fine winemaking that has made Roederer champagne among the most sought-after in the world. Aged from one to three years, wines from this reserve cellar are added to the blend, creating a multi-vintage cuvee in the traditional Roederer style.

CHERRY PIE 3 VINEYARDS PINOT NOIR – Silky and delicate up front, this fruit-forward wine is a soft red with ripe acidity framing the rich, sweet flavors of red berries, raspberries, light smokiness, and a finish with red cherry and earth.

DUCKHORN PARADUXX RED – earning a score of 93 points from James Suckling, this is a beautiful example of how well Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, with an accent of Merlot, can meld together into a complete and delicious wine. On the palate, juicy layers of brambleberry, black cherry, and nectarine are supported by firm, yet refined tannins and impressive weight. Excellent structure from the Cabernet draws this wine to a full, rich finish.

KING ESTATE PINOT GRIS – earning a score of 91 points from Wine Enthusiast, this supple wine exudes flavors of fresh cut pear, pineapple and key lime with a striking balance of ripe fruit and fresh acidity and a subtle hint of minerality that provides a lengthy clean finish.

Join us this Friday before Christmas for a wonderful holiday tasting featuring a fantastic line-up of adult beverages. We’ll start off the evening’s proceedings with beers from one of our hometown favorites, MARTIN CITY BREWING CO.:

ALCHEMY COFFEE STOUT – brewed in collaboration with Alchemy Coffee, this delicious dark beer has a roasted malty coffee flavor that ends with a milk chocolate finish.

HARDWAY IPAAn American East Coast IPA that’s dry hopped three times to give it a complexity of strong citrus flavors with a touch of toasted malts.

BELGIAN BLONDE – light and easy-drinking blonde made with a blend of rye malt and Saaz hops to give it some spicy notes and dry hopped to give it a delicate floral and spicy aroma.

BELGIAN ABBEY ALE – a velvety and full bodied Dubbel-style ale that offers flavors of Belgian yeast spice, toffee, and nutty malts.

For the liquor, our wonderful rep from Glazers will be serving the mixed cocktail THE GRUMP:

Made from a delicious blend of KEKE KEY LIME PIE LIQUEUR and 360 MADAGASCAR VANILLA VODKA and Lemonade, this holiday favorite is a yummy treat that can be served as is or as a frozen drink that everyone will love.

And for the wines, our excellent rep from A. Bommarito will be bringing these for you to try:

ROMBAUER CHARDONNAY – earning a score of 92 points from, vanilla, melon, papaya, and mango are layered with baked apples, creme brulee, butter and a slight minerality with sweet oak nuances for a long, smooth finish marked by mouthwatering acidity.

ROMBAUER ZINFANDEL – earning a score of 90 points from, this super smooth wine is lush and concentrated. Flavors of ripe cherry and vanilla converge toward blackberry and spice. Very fine tannins and great length make for a satisfying finish.

SARACCO MOSCATO d’ASTI – earning a score of 92 points from Wine Enthusiast and Wine Advocate, the elegantly foaming creamy palate of this sparkling wine offers candied apricot, tangerine zest and ginger. Lively acidity gives it a crisp refreshing finish.

JOULLIAN CABERNET SAUVIGNON – the silky tannins of this medium-bodied wine show flavors of black cherry, black currant and plum with a beautiful nuance of white truffle and a smooth sandalwood finish.
