Join us this first Friday evening in March as we celebrate the beginning of Madness month with a tasting to get you through the end of Winter. We’ll kick off with a line-up from Nebraska beer company TALLGRASS BREWING:

VELVET ROOSTER – this clean and crisp tripel boasts big, fruity esters and slight peppery spice from Belgian yeast. It’s bubbly like champagne with hints of citrus fruit, earthy-grassy notes and a sweet, candy-like finish.

8-BIT PALE ALE – Channeled through the Hop Rocket — a stainless steel vessel packed with whole-leaf Cascade hops — which infuses the beer with an extra burst of bright citrus hop flavors and aromas.

RASPBERRY JAM – this light and refreshing Berliner Weisse has a crisp natural tartness that’s perfectly balanced by the addition of raspberries to make it a delicious warm-weather pleaser.

For the liquor, we’ll be welcoming DULCE VIDA TEQUILA which sources its organic agave from the Los Altos highlands in the Tequila region of Mexico. Because of the unique climatic characteristics and the air & soil, this area is well known for producing larger, fruitier agave, ideal for tequila. They’ll be bringing these three flavors for you to sample:

BLANCO – has a pleasant citrus aroma that is well balanced with a hint of spice and a sweet agave finish.

LIME – 70 proof, handcrafted from 100% blue agave, then infused with lime juice and uniquely blended. Straight out of the bottle it tastes like the best margarita you’ve ever had.

GRAPEFRUIT – 70 proof,  handcrafted from 100% blue agave, then infused with grapefruit and uniquely blended. Incredibly refreshing!

PINEAPPLE JALAPENO – 70 proof, handcrafted from 100% blue agave, then infused with real pineapple and jalapeno. Try a shot of “Sweet to Heat”!

And for the wines, our excellent rep from Trademark/Bronco Wines will be bringing these for you to taste:

JACQUES PELVAS BRUT ROSE – From a small family winery in the Provence region of France, this French sparkling wine is made from 100% Grenache grapes; it’s quite lively with a rose-petal softness, bright acidity, and a clean, strawberry finish.

OREGON TRAILS WINE CO. PINOT NOIR – a Willamette Valley wine that find rich flavors of black tea, red currant, baking spice, and savory earth in its opulent medium-bodied structure that ends with an additional note of tart cherry returning on the finish.

PACIFIC OASIS RIESLING – this Columbia Valley, Washington wine offers flavors of apricot, green apple, honey and lemon with a semi-sweet finish that can be enjoyed with food (especially spicy ones) or by itself. A great warm weather patio wine!

SABLES D’AZUR ROSE – from the Cotes de Provence region of France, this crisp and fresh rose offers delicate hints of small red fruits (red currant) and sweet citrus fruits (clementine, sweet grapefruit) along with a light, bright acidity that’s soft and fruity on the finish.

VINA CUMBRERO RIOJA CRIANZA – this mostly Tempranillo blend has a polished texture that carries crisp flavors of tart cherry, fresh herb, anise and mineral, supported by light, firm tannins and lively acidity. Graceful, with balanced fruity and savory notes that give way to a spicy, floral finish.
