Join us this Friday after Valentine’s Day for a wonderful tasting featuring a line-up of adult beverages to keep your heart warm. We’ll start off the evening’s proceedings with beers from one of our hometown favorites, MARTIN CITY BREWING CO.:

BANGING THE ENEMY RED IPA – The taste is very hop forward with an easy hop bitterness and flavor from the Mosaic hops. The Vienna base malt give the beer a slight sweetness that balances with the hops.

ALCHEMY COFFEE STOUT – brewed in collaboration with Alchemy Coffee, this delicious dark beer has a roasted malty coffee flavor that ends with a milk chocolate finish.

HARDWAY IPAAn American East Coast IPA that’s dry hopped three times to give it a complexity of strong citrus flavors with a touch of toasted malts.

BELGIAN BLONDE – light and easy-drinking blonde made with a blend of rye malt and Saaz hops to give it some spicy notes and dry hopped to give it a delicate floral and spicy aroma.

BELGIAN ABBEY ALE – a velvety and full bodied Dubbel-style ale that offers flavors of Belgian yeast spice, toffee, and nutty malts.

For the liquor, our hard-working rep from Lohr Distributing will be bringing this whiskey for you to try:

DEVIL’S RIVER BOURBON WHISKEY – crafted from the pure, fresh limestone spring waters at Devils River in Texas, this small batch whiskey uses high quality grains, charred oak barrels and a chill-filtration process to deliver a bold flavor up front that finishes with a medley of warm and sweet oak, honey and caramel flavors. 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% barley distilled in copper pot stills before barrel aging gives it a 90 proof frontier-style burliness.

And for the wines, our wonderful rep from Lile Wine will be bringing these four for your tasting enjoyment:

CANE AND FABLE CABERNET SAUVIGNON – A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 81%, Merlot 7%, Tempranillo 6%, Cabernet Franc 3%, & Petit Verdot 3%, this delicious Paso Robles wine offers lush dark fruit flavors with notes of sweet plums, warm cedar planks and freshly ground spices with a supple and lingering finish.

VAGLIO “CHACRA” MALBEC – 100% hand harvested from a single vineyard in Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo, the wine offers notes of dark fruits like plum, raisin and blackberry pie. The supple tannins and hint of oak lead to a round, smooth finish wrapped in caramel and walnuts.

WONDERWALL PINOT NOIR – leads off with fresh and delicious flavors of deep black cherry, boysenberry and just-picked strawberry. The palate is medium-bodied, round and very lush with subtle baking spice nuances seasoning the fruit on the long finish.

JI JI JI CHENIN BLANC – with a score of 93 points from Robert Parker, this white wine from Argentina is sharp with high acidity and notes of wild herbs, bright orchard fruits plus some lemon pith and a little lime.
