Join us this pre-Thanksgiving (or Friends-giving) Friday as we get you in the mood for the holiday with a bevy of adult beverages for you to sample. We’ll kick off with our friends from SCHLAFLY BEER in St. Louis who’ll be bringing these for you to sample:

DOUBLE IPA – hop-forward beer with 10.0% ABV and 80 IBUs, featuring Chinook’s grapefruit, spice and piney notes; Mosiac’s earthy, floral and fruity flavors of blueberry, tangerine and rose blossom; and notes of passion fruit, pine and berry from the Simcoe hops.

COFFEE STOUT – a classic combination of a traditional stout and premium French roast coffee from St. Louis roaster, Kaldi’s Coffee. Roasted barley and coffee dominate, with the sweetness from the stout balancing the acidity of the coffee.

CHRISTMAS ALE – this 8% ABV beer is a warming winter ale that blends the spices of orange peel, juniper berries, ginger root, cardamom and cloves with sweet caramel malt, all blended with honey in the fermentation process, which raises the ABV without producing too much heat from the alcohol content.

For the Friday evening liquor portion of our tasting, our wonderful Major Brands rep will be bringing this fantastic line-up for you to try:

JAMESON CASKMATES: Jameson Irish whiskey finished in casks of Franciscan Well, an Irish microbrew stout.
JAMESON BLACK BARREL: Derived from a select, small batch of rare grain whiskey, Black Barrel get an average of 12 or so years in the cask. The citrus and green-apple notes prominent in classic Jameson are replaced here by flavors like vanilla, toasted woods and spices, and stewed apples.
REDBREAST 12YR OLD IRISH WHISKEY – a beautifully balanced single pot still Irish whiskey, with a warm, generous texture, rich, sweet flavours and a spicy kick. Spicy with great body. Nuts and citrus (peel and juice) with hints of marzipan, dried fruits and a hint of Sherry. In the view of many connoisseurs, the finest Irish whiskey available.
THE DUBLINER IRISH WHISKEY LIQUEUR – a delicious blend of Irish Whiskey and Honeycomb Liqueur. Smooth and sweet, perfect as a holidays treat with flavors of whiskey, honey and caramel. Fantastic on its own, or even try it over ice cream (you’ll see what I mean when you try it).

KERRYGOLD IRISH CREAM – Winner of the 2016 World Drink Awards “World’s Best Cream Liqueur Award”. This delicious liqueur blends natural Irish cream, which comes from Irish grass-fed cows, with aged Irish whiskey and chocolate liqueur.

And for the wines, we’ll be hosting the Overland Park, KS based AUBREY WINES who are bringing these Fall favorites:

APPLE WINE – Freshly pressed, local apple juice was slowly fermented at low temperatures in order to retain clean and crisp aromas and flavors of pure, fresh apples.

TAWNY PORT – a rich, voluptuous port wine aged in oak barrels.  Plum, toffee, fig and rum raisin are center stage atop a backdrop of spice, walnuts, and wood.  Cognac and black cherry notes rise from it in an inviting aroma.

CATAWBA – This light red could almost be a rosé. Catawba is one of America’s most famous grapes, and the Aubrey version has enough juicy acidity to balance its sugar. Think of gourmet strawberry preserves.

CHAMBOURCIN – This elegant dry red wine exhibits complex spicy, smoky and earthy aromas and flavors complimented by layers of black cherry and wild berries.  Its silky, velvety texture and light to medium body resemble the finest burgundies.
