Join us this Friday evening as we sample some old favorites and some new ones that we hope will become favorites with you. We’ll start off the tasting with a selection of beers from NEW BELGIUM BREWING CO. that includes:

BEN & JERRY’S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH ALE – hefty doses of chocolate, brown sugar and vanilla into a dough-hued blonde ale base result is a full-bodied beer that seduces with a perfect balance of vanilla and chocolate, and finishes with just the right amount of sweetness.

CITRADELIC TANGERINE IPA – a marriage of Citra hops and tangerine peel, which elevates each sip onto a plane of pure tropical, fruity pleasure. Citradelic’s namesake hop and fruit combine with additional hops like citrusy Mandarina Bavaria, tropical Azzaca, and fruity Galaxy for a colorful explosion grounded by just a touch of malty sweetness.

RANGER IPA – an abundance of hops – Cascade (citrus), Chinook (floral/citrus), and Simcoe (fruity) – lead off the beer, with Cascade added again for an intense dry hop flavor. Brewed with pale and dark caramel malts that harmonize the hop flavor from start to finish.

RAMPANT IMPERIAL IPA – Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded taste with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite, and a little malt sweetness on the finish.

FAT TIRE – their best-known beer, using a broad palette of ingredients (fruits, spices, esoteric yeast strains) this perfectly balanced beer offers flavors of toasty malt, gentle sweetness, and a flash of fresh hop bitterness.

suavecito-tequilaAnd for the liquor we’ll be tasting all three levels of tequilas from SUAVECITO TEQUILA, all made from 100% pure Blue Agave grown in the red soil of the mountains of Jalisco, Mexico. They’re also rested in specially selected American Oak barrels to ensure that each is 100% smooth.

SILVER – has an initial taste that’s lightly floral and sweet agave, which gives way to a hint of citrus in the body with a long mild mint finish and hints of sweet agave in the aftertaste. Won the 2014 Denver International Spirits Competition Gold Medal.

REPOSADO – aged for 6 to 8 months in American Oak barrels, has an initial taste of agave with a hint of cherry, which gives way to woody agave flavors in the body and a sweet wooded finish with a light vanilla/caramel aftertaste.

ANEJO – made with specially selected mountain grown premium agave, aged for 14 to 18 months in the finest American Oak barrels. Its initial taste is of burnt sugar and agave with a body that’s smooth and lightly wooded and has a mint and chocolate finish with a sweet agave aftertaste.

And for the wines, we’ll be hosting the high-end boutique Washington winery  MARKET VINEYARDS. Come in and sample these three of their excellent wines:

market-vineyardsARBITRAGE CABERNET SAUVIGNON – Dark cherry and ripe blackberry are equally prominent on the palate where they are joined by caramel, dark chocolate and notes of smoky peppercorns.  The wine is full bodied and lushly textured while retaining an exceptional sense of balance and depth.  The tannins are supple and refined leading to an elegant finish.

DERIVATIVE RED BLEND – Lush and bright, with a terrific acid balance, this great blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc & 20% Merlot offers rich flavors of red cherry, Turkish coffee, cassis and milk chocolate (almost a flavor of dark chocolate-covered cherries). Delicious and silky smooth.

LIQUIDITY WHITE BLEND – A blend of Viognier and Roussanne, this full-textured wine offers  flavors of lychee, vanilla, pineapple and Pink Lady apple.
