Join us for a special Thursday evening tasting as we sample a variety of adult beverages from Holland. Michigan beer-maker and distiller NEW HOLLAND BREWERY. Let’s start with the beers that we’ll have for you to try:

DRAGON’S MILK – with a 98 score on RateBeer, this strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts.

THE POET – with a 93 score on RateBeer, this oatmeal stout is rich and creamy, with delicious roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate.

MAD HATTER – an IPA  dry hopped with Centennial Hops. This pale copper colored ale has a flowery hop aroma and a bold hop bitterness.

And for the New Holland liquors we’ll be sampling:new-holland-beer-barrel-bourbon

BEER BARREL BOURBON – using barrels that once held Dragon Milk Stout, they fill it with three year old Bourbon to finish for a few months. The result will blow you away with classic bourbon top notes of vanilla, caramel and spiced apple fruit that are punctuated with a frothy, bitter chocolate quality drawn perfectly from the beer barrel.

CLOCKWORK ORANGE LIQUEUR – deliciously bright flavors and restrained sweetness define this 80 spirit steeped with fresh and dried oranges, sweet orange peel, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, and vanilla beans.

KNICKERBOCKER GIN –  a traditional dry profile gin with warm notes of lemon rind, sharp juniper and a little bit of alcohol. The dominant flavor of this gin is coriander, along with juniper and black pepper.
